Founded by the son of local Tahitian legend and pioneer of surfing and boat driving the mythic Teahupoo break (“Timothée”), Teahupoo Adventure offers tours to Teahupoo wave and activities and is a small, local, and family-owned enterprise.

Born in Tahiti, raised playing and surfing in the Teahupoo area, it is natural that making people discover the place where I grew up became my passion. We are now so happy and proud to share a piece of our homeland with you.

Such an Amazing Tour!

Haunui is the absolute best guide!... He is so unbelievably knowledgeable and friendly. The tour from the boat was great as he is an expert in navigating the waters. The hike to the mini lava tube and waterfalls was incredible! The flowers, fruits and nuts Haunui pointed out and let me interact with were amazing...Hands down, this was the best thing I did while on Tahiti Island. Do NOT Miss this Tour!

Our guide was amazing. Right on time and away we went to the Wave known as Teahupoo. Very cool shots with the video cam. Then we went around the edge of Tahiti where there are NO roads, no cellphone service and no electricity. Talk about living on the edge of nowhere! The water was incredible. Saw a beautiful grotto and we stopped in a lagoon for a swim and had some coconut that was shredded and added to banana for a Tahitian take on a smore. Delish!

Excellent Trip

This has to be one of the most fun and adventurous trips ever. It would be a loss for anyone to be here and miss this trip. Fun, adventure and great hosts. Make sure to take water sandals and a waterproof camera. Loved every second of it.

Fantastic tour for those seeking a physical adventure!

Haunui and Maruia offer a very adventurous tour including a hike through the jungle to a hidden cave with a freshwater pool and trips to the base of a waterfall and a hidden ocean pool as well as snorkeling on the reef. They are super nice and exciting tour guides!
